My Approach
I strive to build a collaborative relationship with my clients and provide them with a sense of hope. I understand the process of eating disorder recovery is not linear and can be challenging. However, early intervention and treatment can provide a context and framework for individuals to fully recover.
I use several clinical approaches to meet the specific needs of each individual, parents, or families. I integrate relational and psychodynamic approaches, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Family-Based Treatment (FBT). I also draw from Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size philosophies. I believe it is important to challenge diet culture influences and promote self-acceptance of every body type.
