My Approach
I strive to build a collaborative relationship with my clients and provide them with a sense of hope. The process of eating disorder recovery is not linear and can be challenging. However, treatment is most successful when intervention is early. It is important to have a support system through eating disorder treatment and through the therapeutic process.
I use several clinical approaches to meet the specific needs of each individual, parents, or families. I integrate relational and psychodynamic approaches, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Family-Based Treatment (FBT). I draw from Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size philosophies. My goal is to promote body neutrality and body acceptance.
