My Approach
I strive to build a collaborative relationship with my clients and provide them with a sense of hope. I understand how difficult it can be to initiate the process of seeking therapy. My goal is to hold space for clients where they are in their journey and help them feel empowered. It is important to have a support system through eating disorder treatment and throughout the therapeutic process.
I use several clinical approaches to meet the specific needs of each individual, parents, or families. I integrate relational and psychodynamic approaches, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Family-Based Treatment (FBT). I draw from Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size philosophies. My goal is to promote body neutrality and body acceptance.
